Aegean Airlines

Aegean Airlines is the largest Greek airline and the country's flag carrier, headquartered in Athens. Founded in 1987 as Aegean Aviation, it initially operated as a VIP/business air operation and later evolved into a full-service carrier. Aegean Airlines started scheduled passenger services in 1999.

The airline primarily serves destinations within Greece and throughout Europe, with its main hub at Athens International Airport. It operates an extensive network of domestic and international flights, connecting Greece with various European cities and popular tourist destinations.

Aegean Airlines has gained recognition for its quality of service, punctuality, and modern fleet. It has received several awards over the years, including recognition as Europe's Best Regional Airline by Skytrax.

In addition to its mainline operations, Aegean Airlines has a subsidiary named Olympic Air, which operates domestic and regional flights within Greece. Together, Aegean and Olympic Air form the largest airline group in Greece, providing comprehensive air travel services to passengers.
