Aer Lingus

Aer Lingus is the flag carrier airline of Ireland, headquartered in Dublin. It was founded in 1936, making it one of the oldest airlines in Europe. Originally established by the Irish government, Aer Lingus was privatized in 2006 and is now a subsidiary of International Airlines Group (IAG), which also owns British Airways, Iberia, and other airlines.

Aer Lingus operates a mixed fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft, serving destinations in Europe, North America, and Africa. Its primary hub is Dublin Airport, with secondary hubs at Cork and Shannon airports.

The airline is known for its green branding and shamrock logo, representing its Irish heritage. Aer Lingus offers a range of services including economy class, business class (branded as AerSpace), and a premium economy class called Aer Lingus Business.

In addition to its scheduled passenger services, Aer Lingus operates Aer Lingus Regional, which is a franchise operation serving domestic and European routes using smaller aircraft operated by partner airlines.

Over the years, Aer Lingus has garnered a reputation for its friendly service, competitive fares, and strong connections between Ireland and other countries, particularly the United States.
